Arboretum Trail Tour

Arboretum Trail Tour

The Edward L. Calland Arboretum Trail is located at Shelter #12 in Bradys Run Park.

The Ed Calland Arboretum area is named for a former county worker who provided funding from his estate for the establishment and maintenance of the various tree and plant life in the Arboretum area.

The Beaver and Monaca Garden Clubs donated initial plantings.

The trail is approximately three-quarters of a mile long; level and is mostly asphalted making it handicapped accessible.

The environmental education guided tour is administered through the Beaver County Conservation District and provides an opportunity to view and learn about trees and shrubs common to western Pennsylvania. There are approximately 17 different types of trees along the trail and a meadow area that has been allowed to develop naturally. In addition, there are three rest areas along the trail.

Free programs at the Arboretum area are held March thru September by the Beaver County Conservation District.

The self-guided walking trail can be enjoyed year round. Click here to download and print the self-guided tour booklet.
